Music Artists

Nick D Andrea at Wagnalls

Nick D’Andrea
After beginning a career in education, Nick D’Andrea, dropped out of night school to pursue a career in music in 2013 as a songwriter and frontman for his band Nick D’ & the Believers. From 2013-16 the group toured extensively and had a number of songs featured on network television shows, most notably on Showtime’s Shameless. At the same time he worked as a freelance songwriter, writing regularly for music licensing, and publishing companies in Nashville and LA on custom compositions.
In 2016 he formed, and co-fronted the band Doc Robinson. They released their debut ep Golden Daze in November 2016 and have since released three full length albums Deep End, Ring of Love and Travelogues, 3 ep’s and several singles. They have toured extensively, and have had several songs featured on television shows, most notably on Netflix Bojack Horseman. In 2019 he stepped away from the band to focus on his family and his work with a music based non profit, We Amplify Voices.

Paisha Thomas & Soul Orchestra
Paisha delivers an exciting show, engaging the audience as part of the experience. Her rich vocals akin to a combination of Mavis Staples and Sharon Jones will warm and inspire you. The audience will experience a range of emotions and leave feeling uplifted! Paisha performs regularly at the Lincoln Theater, Natalie’s Coal Fired Pizza & Live Music and Streetlight Guild, and in the past few years has added private house concerts, milestone birthdays, social justice events and wedding receptions to offer her supporters. In addition to original music with themes in justice and love, Paisha covers the music of Prince, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Sade, Anthony Hamilton, Curtis Mayfield and others. Audiences love Paisha’s infectious joy and soulful vocal sounds, along with the professional musicians she’s played with such as Stan Smith, Dwight Bailey, Bobby Floyd, Derek DiCenzo, Phil Clark and Jesse Henry.

Ramey
The staid earnestness to their roots is familiar, conjuring up for the listener a meeting of wistful Dylan and The Avett Brothers; of Hank Williams jamming with Ryan Adams. The Columbus-based six-piece hits a sweet spot of true-to-roots and real exploration. Their debut LP, There Is A Light (2018), is honest, honed songwriting and boasts of diverse musical sensibilities. At their core is family. Led by Steve and Sarah Ramey (lead vocalist, guitarist; vocalist), they are joined by long-time friends Ryan and Sue Hall (banjo, vocalist; upright bass), Tiberius Shields (organ, piano), and Paul Meeker (drums).

David Rice
David Rice is a singer/songwriter from Columbus, Ohio. His sound is rooted in both folk music and rock ‘n’ roll. He brings his powerhouse voice to some of the best classic songs from the 1950’s to now. Whether playing as a soloist or with his full band, the Rice Brothers, David delivers intimate and memorable performances.

Dave Hawkins
Called a “male Nanci Griffith” and compared to Steve Goodman, Harry Chapman and Peter Yarrow, Dave Hawkins is the songwriter’s songwriter and the audience’s performer. He feels equally comfortable sharing the stage with performers as diverse as Folk Legend Tom Rush and Rock & Roll icon Ian Anderson as he does singing with a group of grade schoolers.

Dave Hawkins is a cross-over artist with a broad base of Folk and Celtic fans in the Midwest, New England and Western United States, as well as Europe. Dave is an accomplished musician who has led bands for over thirty years, released fourteen recordings and appeared as a special guest on seven more!
