FAQs

Is your book drop open?
No, our book drop is not open. Returns will only be accepted during hold pickup appointments. We are currently quarantining returned materials for a week before checking items in, so items will remain on your account at least a week after you return them. Wagnalls is a fine free library, so anything checked out at our library will not be fined. If you are not coming to the library to pick up holds, please continue to hold onto your library materials through the month of May.

Are the items we pick up clean?
We cannot make this guarantee, but we have done everything in our power to protect our staff and our patrons. The building was sanitized while it was closed, and it is currently closed to the public. Staff are wearing masks and having their temperature checked daily. All returned items will be quarantined. We do not have enough cleaning supplies to clean all the items that come in and leave the library. You are welcome to wipe down materials; however, please be mindful that some wipes hold a lot of liquid and we do bill for water stained materials.

Can I request materials from other libraries?
No. Transit between libraries is still suspended. This is to help stop the spread of COVID-19 between libraries.

Can I return items from your partner libraries to Wagnalls?
Yes. You can return items from other CLC libraries to Wagnalls during your hold pickup appointment. The items will be returned to their home library once transit between libraries is up and running. CLC partner libraries include Alexandria, Bexley, Columbus Metropolitan, Delaware County, Fairfield County, Grandview Heights, Granville, London, Pataskala, Pickaway County, Pickerington, Plain City, Marysville, Southwest, Upper Arlington, and Worthington.

How long can I keep materials?
Regular loan rules will apply. Please bring items back when you pick up your holds so that other patrons have an opportunity to check them out.

What if I have items on hold but do not feel comfortable or am unable to make an appointment for hold pickup?
You will not be able to pick up your holds during the month of May. Our date for reopening has not yet been determined.

What if I no longer want to check out the items I have on hold?
Please call 614-837-4765 to cancel your current holds.

Can I have documents printed?

Can I fax documents?
