Wedding couples may choose from several unique settings at the Wagnalls Memorial Library to host their ceremony and reception. Our Outdoor Courtyard features stone laid walkways, a trellis and seasonal manicured gardens for small, intimate occasions. Larger outdoor ceremonies are often held on our Front Lawn with our Tudor-Gothic-style building serving as the perfect backdrop for a historic atmosphere.
Inside the Library, couples may be married in our Auditorium, which seats approximately 300. The Upper Loft level of the library is where wedding receptions are held as the space accommodates up to 300 guests with views overlooking our main entrance and courtyard areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we hold our ceremony on-site? Yes. Your ceremony can be held indoors or outdoors.
Is there a food and beverage minimum? Yes. There is a minimum attendance requirement of 25 guests.
How many guests can Wagnalls Memorial Library accommodate? We can comfortably hold up to 300 guests in our Upper Loft room.
How do we reserve a space? A deposit and signed confirmation form are required to secure your date. Final payment is due ten (10) business days prior to your event. All prices are subject to a 10/12% service charge and applicable Ohio state sales tax.
Will we have access to photograph the entire Wagnalls Memorial Library? You will have access to our Historic Theater, the Main Library Room, historic hallways, spiral cement staircase, the Upper Loft room, and all outdoor areas.
What if we need to cancel the date? All deposits are non-refundable unless we are able to re-book the space.
Is parking available for our guests? Our parking lot is available. There is also additional street parking within relatively close walking distance.
Do you offer valet parking? We do not offer valet parking but encourage guests to call ahead with any parking concerns.
Can you accommodate guests with special meal requirements? Yes. We offer gluten-free and vegan options. We cannot guarantee allergy-free meals due to the uncertainty of cross contamination.
Can we bring our own alcohol? No. All alcohol is included in our wedding packages and will be supplied by our caterers.
Can we decorate the library rooms? The Main Library room cannot be decorated in any way. The Upper Loft room, outside courtyard, and front lawn can be decorated. Decorations should be planned with your wedding coordinator and approved in advance by Wagnalls caterers.
Are chair covers included in the wedding packages? No. Chair covers and sashes can be rented for an additional cost.
