Great News!  Holds Pick-Up Starts May 12!

Thank you to our patrons for your patience during our closure!  We know you are ready for some new reading material.  We are pleased to announce that while Wagnalls will remain closed to the public in May, you will be able to pick up holds by appointment only beginning Tuesday, May 12th!  Please read the procedure below for information on placing/picking up holds.

Placing Holds:

  • Transportation between libraries has not yet resumed, so you will only be able to pick up items owned by Wagnalls.
  • Visit our online catalog and place items on hold.
  • Hold requests can also be emailed to emcclay@wagnalls.org.
  • For patrons without internet access, please call us Monday – Thursday, 10:00am – 5:00pm or Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm at 614-837-4765 to speak with a staff member to request materials.
  • If you would like staff to gather a selection for you, please give us examples of titles and authors you love! For children’s materials, please specify reading level(s).

 Picking Up Holds:

  • Staff will call you when your holds are available to schedule an appointment. Appointment times are Monday – Thursday, 10:00am – 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm.
  • Hold pickup will take place at a table in the lobby just inside the rear parking lot entrance. Your items will already be checked out to you – you will simply need to pick them up during your appointment time!  For your safety, please bring your own bag(s).
  • Please return your items in the designated area only when picking up your holds.  Our bookdrop will remain closed for general returns.  If not picking up holds, please continue to keep your items at home.

We are quarantining all returned materials for one week before they are available for the next person to check out.
